1997 Toyota Century Why This Car Is Special The Toyota Century is considered by many to be the pinnacle of Toyota’s car manufacturing capabilities. Some even go further to say it is the pinnacle of car manufacturing across the board. Built to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Toyota’s founder Sakichi Toyoda, this is one of the most understated statements of success. We have a 1997 Toyota Century here at Skyway Classics with a 5 Litre V12 engine, air suspension, very plush interior, slick blue paint, to deliver that super smooth and quiet ride. Features 1997 Toyota Century 4996 cc 48 valve V12 with variable valve timing 3-speed automatic gearbox Factory engine cover that states V12 Factory injection Power steering and brakes Air conditioning Factory looking engine compartment Blue cloth front twin bucket seats Matching door panels Matching rear seat Factory dash housing all the correct factory gauges and controls Wood trimmed dash, door panels, and console Factory stereo system Right-hand drive black steering wheel Blue carpets Console mounted automatic shifter TV screen in the back Blue exterior paint Front fender wing mounted wing mirrors Clean straight body panels Tinted windows Great chrome and trim Factory wheels Black sidewall tires Mechanical The drivetrain is a huge 4996 cc 48 valve V12 with variable valve timing. The Century’s engine was specially made for it and doesn’t feature in any other Toyota. The engine transmits its power to the rear wheels via a 3-speed automatic gearbox. It has the factory engine cover that states V12 and has the factory injection, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, with all sitting in a factory looking engine compartment. Interior The Interior is all factory and looks great with its blue cloth front twin bucket seats, matching door panels, matching rear seat, factory dash housing all the correct factory gauges and controls, wood trimmed dash, door panels, and console, as well as the factory stereo system, right-hand drive black steering wheel, blue carpets, and the console mounted automatic shifter. The seats are huge and more comfortable than most sofas with all adjustment being electronic, with even a TV screen in the back, tastefully concealed behind a fold down panel displaying the Century emblem. Passengers can choose to follow the navigation screen or watch TV / films. Everyone’s audio needs are met with a 9 speaker system. Above the screen are two extra air vents for efficient heating/cooling of the rear seat passengers. Exterior The build quality of the Toyota Century is superb and attention to detail is everywhere. The first thing to catch my attention was the quality of the paint, which is in blue, you can tell it has been finished by hand. It has front fender wing mounted wing mirrors, clean straight body panels, tinted windows, great chrome and trim, and looks very much like a high-end executive car, which it is. It rides on the factory wheels with black sidewall tires and has a great stance and ride. Conclusion The 1997 Toyota Century we have here at Skyway Classics is very rare and is an outstanding car, like nothing else we have ever experienced. Whether driving it or being driven in it, the smoothness, build quality, attention to detail, comfort and sense of occasion are all superb. FACTORY REPLACEMENT COVERAGE (Luxury & Economy)
Factory Like Coverage is just like it sounds -- a warranty that covers your automobile similar to when the auto was purchased brand new. It also features unlimited mileage something that most factory warranties won't give. This is an "exclusionary" policy, which in laymans terms means a policy where we tell you what isn't covered, and everything else is. As you can imagine, this is the best type of coverage money can buy.
Factory Like Coverage covers the reasonable cost to remedy any operating mechanical or electrical failure of the vehicle, for the time indicated on the contract application, except as specified as excluded, subject to the provisions, terms and conditions of this contract.
As you can clearly see, coverage of any operating mechanical or electrical failure essentially mimics the factory warranty. Standard exclusions such as fabric convertible tops, brake pads, tires, etc., do apply.
In addition to the Factory Like Coverage being the best coverage available, you can customize your coverage with coverage up to ten years from the time of purchase, and four deductible choices starting at $50, $100, $200, and $500.

that it covers the "mission critical" components, and then some. It features
unlimited mileage just like Factory Exotic Coverage. As
expected, you have the same deductible choices of $100, $250 and $500.

Exotic Covered Components (Coverage B): Engine: Cylinder block; heads; intake manifold; timing gear; timing gear cover; flywheel; oil pump; oil pump housing; water pump; harmonic balancer; valve covers; oil pan; crankshaft; valve train; crankshaft seals; connecting rod. Fuel System: Fuel pump; EFI sensors; throttle body assembly; injection pump; lines; vacuum pump. Transmission/Transaxle: Case: Torque converter; vacuum modulator; input/output shafts; bands; governor; washers. Front-Wheel Drive: Final drive housing; axle shaft; axle shaft; constant velocity joints; axle housing; axle supports; front hub; differential. Wear and Tear Coverage (Coverage C): Wear and Tear Coverage is optional coverage and must be paid for at the time the service contract is purchased. It may not be added after purchasing the service contract. This coverage revokes the exclusion of "wear and tear items" from the excluded items list. Wear and tear items are those items that have failed due to being out of manufacturers recommended specifications, yet have not actually failed and are still a mechanical or electrical failure. We reserve the right to wait for a total failure depending on the severity of each claim. All other exclusions for this contract still apply.
Excluded Items for Coverage A, B, & C: Non-mechanical or non-electrical failures; frame or structural separation; clutch and related components; rubber parts; any repositioning, refitting or realigning; distributor cap/rotor; tires/wheels; air bag/supplemental restraint systems; lenses; battery and cables; all maintenance service and items such as alignments, wheel balances, engine tune-ups, spark/glow plugs, plug wires, brake pads, linings & shoes, filters, lubricants, coolants, hoses; bright metal; any illumination including lights; exhaust system; brake rotor/drums; normal fluid/oil lubricant seepage; shop supplies; body adjustments, buttons, handles, door hinges; cleaning; squeaks and rattles; water leaks; wear and tear items; belts; timing chains; leaking shocks; a/c recharging; failures due to lack of maintenance, lack of fluids/coolant/lubricants; any parts not necessary to the completion of the repair; components that fail due to a non-covered component; breakdowns due to rust/corrosion/overheating; compression loss through gradual failure or rings and valves; and non-factory installed components.
