1999 Porsche Boxster Why This Car Is Special Porsche's Boxsters have been heavy favorites among collectors since the first model was introduced in late 1996. Power updates over the years have certainly helped improve this 1999 Porsche Boxster that we have here at Skyway Classics. It has all the options you would want plus that great black convertible top to enjoy open-air cruising, day or night. Features 1999 Porsche Boxster 2.5 liters four-valve technology six-cylinder engine 201 horsepower and 181 foot-pounds of torque Engine compartment looks stock and nicely kept Unrivaled exhaust note Power Steering Power disc brakes Air Conditioning Black/Gray Leather Sports Bucket Seat Interior Digital Sound Factory dash & gauge cluster 5-Speed transmission Roll bars are built in behind the seats Porsche floor mats Automatic black convertible Great white paint Factory aluminum alloy wheels High performance black sidewall radial tires Mechanical Our Boxter has the strong running engine that was a clean-sheet design built around an all-new horizontally opposed (boxer type) engine. The engine is mounted mid-ship for ideal weight distribution and displaces a relatively thrifty 2.5 liters. This is Porsche's first use of water-cooling and four-valve technology on a six-cylinder engine. The engine produces 201 horsepower and 181 foot-pounds of torque, which is plenty of grunt for an open-air roadster. The rear engine / rear wheel drive combination is Porsche's claim to fame and provides a driving experience unlike any other sports car and our Porsche remains a purpose-built sports car that's designed to go fast and provide optimum feedback while demanding the driver's undivided attention. It rewards skilled pilots with an unparalleled thrill ride and an unrivaled exhaust note. Interior The Black/Grey Boxster Leather seats are firm and supportive, and substantial bolstering holds occupants in place on tight turns. The Boxster's cabin is good-looking, the gauge cluster is well laid out, and it is in great shape and loaded with options. The Boxster offers more cargo area than any of its competitors due to the inclusion of front and rear trunks. This front/rear trunk design produces an impressive amount of cargo space and is made possible by the mid-engine design. Second, the Boxster's livable cockpit has a good deal of space for two occupants and features wonderful, cradling seats. For safety, side airbags are standard and roll bars are built in behind the seats. Finally, the Boxster has the fastest closing automatic top in the business, going from completely open to completely closed in a scant twelve seconds , perfect for those unexpected rain showers. Exterior The great white paint on this Porsche fits the lines very well and looks very menacing too. It is a deep shiny paint job with great body lines and fitment. The convertible top is black cloth and nice as well. It rides on factory aluminum alloy wheels are wrapped in high performance black sidewall radial tires for a great look that is matched by their performance. It was tested in a magazine and the performance was from 0 to 60 mph: 6.2 seconds, with the 1/4-mile at 13.8 and a top speed between 150-162 mph. Conclusion Our 1999 Porsche Boxster we have at Skyway Classics is a great mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive, 2-passenger, 2-door roadster and a great way to get into a Porsche without breaking the bank. FACTORY REPLACEMENT COVERAGE (Luxury & Economy)
Factory Like Coverage is just like it sounds -- a warranty that covers your automobile similar to when the auto was purchased brand new. It also features unlimited mileage something that most factory warranties won't give. This is an "exclusionary" policy, which in laymans terms means a policy where we tell you what isn't covered, and everything else is. As you can imagine, this is the best type of coverage money can buy.
Factory Like Coverage covers the reasonable cost to remedy any operating mechanical or electrical failure of the vehicle, for the time indicated on the contract application, except as specified as excluded, subject to the provisions, terms and conditions of this contract.
As you can clearly see, coverage of any operating mechanical or electrical failure essentially mimics the factory warranty. Standard exclusions such as fabric convertible tops, brake pads, tires, etc., do apply.
In addition to the Factory Like Coverage being the best coverage available, you can customize your coverage with coverage up to ten years from the time of purchase, and four deductible choices starting at $50, $100, $200, and $500.

an "inclusionary policy", which means we list all of the components covered.
Covered components include items from the engine, transmission, front wheel
drive, rear wheel drive, fuel system, electronics, cooling, etc. We like to say
that it covers the "mission critical" components, and then some. It features
unlimited mileage just like Factory Exotic Coverage. As
expected, you have the same deductible choices of $100, $250 and $500.

Wear and Tear Coverage (Coverage C): Wear and Tear Coverage is optional coverage and must be paid for at the time the service contract is purchased. It may not be added after purchasing the service contract. This coverage revokes the exclusion of "wear and tear items" from the excluded items list. Wear and tear items are those items that have failed due to being out of manufacturers recommended specifications, yet have not actually failed and are still a mechanical or electrical failure. We reserve the right to wait for a total failure depending on the severity of each claim. All other exclusions for this contract still apply.
Excluded Items for Coverage A, B, & C: Non-mechanical or non-electrical failures; frame or structural separation; clutch and related components; rubber parts; any repositioning, refitting or realigning; distributor cap/rotor; tires/wheels; air bag/supplemental restraint systems; lenses; battery and cables; all maintenance service and items such as alignments, wheel balances, engine tune-ups, spark/glow plugs, plug wires, brake pads, linings & shoes, filters, lubricants, coolants, hoses; bright metal; any illumination including lights; exhaust system; brake rotor/drums; normal fluid/oil lubricant seepage; shop supplies; body adjustments, buttons, handles, door hinges; cleaning; squeaks and rattles; water leaks; wear and tear items; belts; timing chains; leaking shocks; a/c recharging; failures due to lack of maintenance, lack of fluids/coolant/lubricants; any parts not necessary to the completion of the repair; components that fail due to a non-covered component; breakdowns due to rust/corrosion/overheating; compression loss through gradual failure or rings and valves; and non-factory installed components.
