Vehicle Overview
The ultimate Mustang collector’s car!! This a very interesting, rare and unique piece of Mustang History, forever to appreciate in value. The only Cobra Mustang of this kind ever built; this car is 1 of 1. This particular car is the first Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) Mustang off of the Ford assembly line. Also, this Mustang along with the second IRS car, were designated as Pace Cars for the PPG IndyCar Series. (car#2 was crashed and destroyed) This is an actual pace car, used on-track by series officials, during actual races. Not to be confused with Indianapolis 500 replica pace cars. This car is not some “a-typical” replica Indy500 pace car that every public person could buy off the showroom floor, this is the real deal. This car also is street legal and since it was purchased from Champcar in Indianapolis, now has a clean NY State title. This car was never crashed or ever had a salvage title. Built for the Champcar PPG Indycar Series, principal duties for this car as part of the PPG Pace Car Team of vehicles, was used to pace the Indycar, Trans-AM, and Formula Atlantic races. Also, used for giving executive guests hot-laps on race weekends between sessions, and utilized for display purposes. You may have seen this car at the races if you are an Indycar fan. Obviously, to pace a field of Indy Cars, even under caution, a pace car needs to be capable of extremely high track performance standards and capabilities. Because of the cars pace car future, the Pace Car Team went through the entire suspension. No part on the suspension or undercarriage on this car is standard or the same as a road-going Mustang. Everything from bushings to shocks, and everything in between has been up-fitted. KennyBrown control arms, cross-members, bushings were all installed instead of standard parts. Putting the rubber to the ground and controlling weight distribution as the car gets put through its paces through the corners are Koni adjustable coil-over shocks and springs. For maximum needed stopping power, larger race prepared Brembo brakes were also installed on the front of the car. The engine itself required no modifications, and because of this, idles and drives like a normal car. The only change attached to the motor is the Borla exhaust. You will also notice heat wraps around the exhaust as you can see in the pictures, to keep excess heat away from necessary mechanical components. Because PPG was the primary sponsor of the IndyCar Series, all of the pace cars on the pace car team were painted in outrageous colors. Taking in this car from the outside is best on a sunny day when you can properly appreciate the PPG metallic paint on the car. This is not a standard Ford color. As an aside, even the PPG lettering on the door is clear coated in the paint so well, that running your hand over the letters makes them undetectable. As you further inspect this car, you will also notice other necessary subtleties that this car has to let it function as a real pace car. Flashing strobe lights that would otherwise blind a person staring straight at them.. No expense was spared in this Ford/IndyCar collaboration so, you will also notice the integrated roll bar which has a custom fabricated aero roll-over bar with the rear amber strobe lights molded into it. Onboard safety items installed for Pace Car duty include; a removed road fuel tank in place of a racing fuel cell, onboard fire suppression system (add your own bottle), crowd-control siren, (for driving through the paddock full of fans), kill switch, 5-point racing harnesses. Everything about this car is REAL, has a purpose and tells a story of its past. Every smudge from tire rubber underneath the car and in the wheel-wells is real racetrack rubber from pacing on the race track. Any other minor nick or mark on the car is a storymark from pace car duty. Even special tow-hooks for strapping the pace cars down for travel in the hauler are installed. Factory Like Coverage is just like it sounds -- a warranty that covers your automobile similar to when the auto was purchased brand new. It also features unlimited mileage something that most factory warranties won't give. This is an "exclusionary" policy, which in laymans terms means a policy where we tell you what isn't covered, and everything else is. As you can imagine, this is the best type of coverage money can buy.
Factory Like Coverage covers the reasonable cost to remedy any operating mechanical or electrical failure of the vehicle, for the time indicated on the contract application, except as specified as excluded, subject to the provisions, terms and conditions of this contract.
As you can clearly see, coverage of any operating mechanical or electrical failure essentially mimics the factory warranty. Standard exclusions such as fabric convertible tops, brake pads, tires, etc., do apply.
In addition to the Factory Like Coverage being the best coverage available, you can customize your coverage with coverage up to ten years from the time of purchase, and four deductible choices starting at $50, $100, $200, and $500.

Covered components include items from the engine, transmission, front wheel
drive, rear wheel drive, fuel system, electronics, cooling, etc. We like to say
that it covers the "mission critical" components, and then some. It features
unlimited mileage just like Factory Exotic Coverage. As
expected, you have the same deductible choices of $100, $250 and $500.

Wear and Tear Coverage (Coverage C): Wear and Tear Coverage is optional coverage and must be paid for at the time the service contract is purchased. It may not be added after purchasing the service contract. This coverage revokes the exclusion of "wear and tear items" from the excluded items list. Wear and tear items are those items that have failed due to being out of manufacturers recommended specifications, yet have not actually failed and are still a mechanical or electrical failure. We reserve the right to wait for a total failure depending on the severity of each claim. All other exclusions for this contract still apply.
Excluded Items for Coverage A, B, & C: Non-mechanical or non-electrical failures; frame or structural separation; clutch and related components; rubber parts; any repositioning, refitting or realigning; distributor cap/rotor; tires/wheels; air bag/supplemental restraint systems; lenses; battery and cables; all maintenance service and items such as alignments, wheel balances, engine tune-ups, spark/glow plugs, plug wires, brake pads, linings & shoes, filters, lubricants, coolants, hoses; bright metal; any illumination including lights; exhaust system; brake rotor/drums; normal fluid/oil lubricant seepage; shop supplies; body adjustments, buttons, handles, door hinges; cleaning; squeaks and rattles; water leaks; wear and tear items; belts; timing chains; leaking shocks; a/c recharging; failures due to lack of maintenance, lack of fluids/coolant/lubricants; any parts not necessary to the completion of the repair; components that fail due to a non-covered component; breakdowns due to rust/corrosion/overheating; compression loss through gradual failure or rings and valves; and non-factory installed components.
